Prayer Ministry: How to Pray PDF Print E-mail
  1. Talk to God simply and naturally, telling Him anything that is on your mind. Do not think you have to use formal words and phrases. Talk to Him in your own language. He understands it.
  2. Practice talking to God as you go about the business of the day. On the subway or bus, or at your desk, close your eyes for a moment to shut out the world and have a word or two with God. This will remind you of His presence and give you a sense of His nearness.
  3. Affirm the fact that God is with you and helping you. That is to say, do not always ask God for His blessings, but affirm the fact that He is now giving you His blessings.
  4. Pray with the thought that your prayers reach out and surround your loved ones with God's love and care.
  5. Always state in your prayer that you are willing to accept God’s will, whatever it is. Ask Him for what you want, but express your willingness to take what He wants.
  6. In your prayer, simply put everything into God's hands. Pray for strength to do your best and, with confidence, leave the rest to God.
  7. Pray even when you don't feel like praying. Never mind whether you feel your prayer goes “above the ceiling” or not. Get in the habit. God will help you.
  8. Say a word of prayer for people who do not like you or have treated you badly. This will help them and release tremendous power in you.
  9. At some time during every day, say a word of prayer for God's work in these troublesome times. Ask that God will help you to fulfill your part in carrying His message.

Then - believe that your prayers will be answered!

"What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them.''
Mark 11:24
