Life Groups are all about enjoying life. If you want to shape up, help out, get social, or experience some culture, Kettering SDA has a group that’s right for you. From seniors to school kids, our Life Groups can help you get a daily dose of feeling good while doing good.

First Wednesdays @ 5:30pm-7:30pm – includes dinner
This ministry is intended for children ages 4-10 years old. It is centered on teaching children about how to grow in Jesus (spiritual), how to serve others (service), and how to develop lasting relationships (social). The club meets once a month on the first Wednesday of the month starting with haystacks supper at 5:30pm and ending the evening between 7:15-7:30. If you haven’t signed up your child yet, stop by the registration table or simply call the office for a form and join us.
Commune with those of like faith while you work on keeping your “temple of the Holy Spirit” in good shape (or getting it in better shape). May include hiking, cycling, mountain biking, running, climbing, skiing, camping, or other similar activities.
2nd Saturday, 3:00 – 5:00pm
This Life Group will be doing Community Outreach Projects through TEJAS (Teen Education Joint Adult Studio), which is located in the K-12 building in downtown Dayton. Dates to be announced.

Craft Ministry is the community outreach arm of Women’s Ministry, but all are welcome. We are planning to initially meet on a quarterly basis. As we learn/teach new crafts, we encourage spiritual growth and fellowship together. We are starting with making fleece blankets and hats for the homeless, to be distributed by the Good Neighbor House. Opportunities for spin-off groups will be available for specialized crafts and special projects.

Being God’s Man in Leading A Family — Group of fathers and husbands growing together in fellowship and studying the Bible to be spiritual leaders for their family.
Thursdays @ 9am – 12pm
Days for Girls International meets weekly to trace, cut, iron, sew, and serge fabric for this service outreach. Once assembled, kits are sent overseas to the mission field.
1st Saturday @ 2:00 – 7:00pm, 3rd Sunday @ 10am – 1pm
The Pathfinder Club is a leadership development program for youth ages 10 – 16. The club activities involve action, adventure, challenge, and group activities that provide opportunity for the development of attitudes that produce personal growth, along with team and community spirit. Pathfindering focuses on mental, physical, and spiritual development.

We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! It teaches God’s ways of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more! Child care will be provided.

We will learn how to use Ancestry.com and other resources to discover our family trees. We will meet one or two Sabbath afternoons per month.
Earliteen and Youth learning principles of self-worth, materialism issues and money management.
High school Juniors and Seniors learning about job applications, resume’s, college applications and budgeting/finances – a continuation from the previous session.
The Golden Buckeye’s meet on a bi-monthly basis as a social outlet to seniors 55 and up. The Golden Buckeyes go on trips, have potlucks, discussions, lectures, and socials.
Tuesdays, 12:30 – 1:00pm
Join us each week as we study the life of Christ and look to apply lessons to our daily lives. This study will be a preview to a Kettering Church Sabbath School class.
Kindergarten through 5th grade learning principles of value and money.
Thursdays @ 10am
For moms with children ages 0-preschool. We meet every Thursday for a play date and will have monthly events such as potlucks, holiday parties, etc.
3rd Monday @ 3:30 – 4:30pm
If you have a prayer need or a heart for prayer and want to join the Prayer Ministry Team, please join us on the 3rd Monday of each month. Also, if you are in need of special prayer, prayer ministry members are available each Sabbath after 2Serv in S3.
Wednesday @ 6:00 – 7:00pm
This Life Group performs for Children’s Church monthly and provides an opportunity for middle school kids to participate in a creative ministry outlet. This ministry is intended for both in-reach as well as outreach.
Mondays @ 6:00pm
Anyone interested in self defense, its practical application, physical exercise, and rape prevention, please join this 12 week course, which will teach you basic skills in self defense with a spiritual emphasis.
Wednesdays @ 1:00pm
After going out to lunch, this group of men will visit shut-ins in nursing homes and independent living facilities.

1st & 3rd Wednesdays @ 5:30 – 6:30pm
“God STIX With You” is a unique and creative children’s ministry, using dowel rods to illustrate Christian music and scripts to inspire and teach. Performances do not involve singing, speaking, or playing an instrument. Children on this team perform in our church and visit other churches and nursing homes in the area. This ministry functions as a small support group, beginning each rehearsal session with worship and focused prayer. It’s also an opportunity for children to learn how to lead out in short devotions and prayer requests/reports.
1st & 3rd Thursdays @ 10:15am – 12:00pm
This study is from the book of Mark, from the Life Change series. We believe that a small change each day brings a changed life.
